L-374 III may sound familiar to Star Trek fans as one of the star systems that was destroyed by the Planet Killer in ‘The Doomsday Machine’ with the three being the third planet of that system.

This fan film takes place in the aftermath of the Constellation’s battle with the Planet Killer, this fan film takes place before and during the time that the crew with the exception of Commodore Decker abandon ship and land on L-374 III.

A team was assembled to land on the planet to find out more about it as well as lay the groundwork for the hospital and other facilities for the crew as the Constellation gets abandoned.

The team founds out that all is not what it seems on L-374 III and to tell you what it would ruin the story, but few people would consider this plot line.

The creators of this fan film did a great job of putting a new spin on events that had taken place around ‘The Doomsday Machine’.

For those who like to use the word ‘True’ to describe something then this is a true fan film in that it was made without elaborate sets or cost, you will see a little blurred footage and the occasional shot showing the bottom of the house/garage wall that serves as the Constellation, but it doesn’t detract anything from the story.
