“What if: The Romulans Escaped the Balance of Terror” is an all-CGI action fan film about the Romulans and the Federation fighting a massive battle.

The story begins at Outpost 5 and the Romulans have come to cause havoc after the Enterprise failed to stop the Romulans in their previous encounter.

You’ll see the Miranda class ships and the Constitution class ships fighting the Romulans at close quarters, all of them looking really good.

It is one of Star Trek’s quirks that all the ships have long range firing abilities but they fight up close and personal, however audiences may be bored if phaser fire comes from nowhere and strikes a vessel far out of sight.

Blender got a good work out in this fan film, it is quite a good one, the music is good, the sound effects are too, this is perfect for those who like non-stop action.
