Battle of Velsak 2 tells the tale of the USS Intrepid’s actions at Velsak 2 from the perspective of Captain Hunter.

This is done like a documentary and we’ve seen a similar style before with Prelude to Axanar though this is set in the Dominion War, there’s more detailed bridge action and only Captain Hunter features on screen p with the voices of the narrator and Lt. Caed offscreen.

The VFX is beautiful but that’s always a certainty with Samuel Cockings doing the work, Samuel is considered the go to person for VFX in Star Trek fan films.

It’s a great story, there’s plenty of action and the fan film has a pretty cool way for the Intrepid to get itself out of trouble, one you’ll have to see for yourself.

It is clear that you don’t need anywhere close to six figures to pull off something like this so if you got the right VFX, the right cast and the right camera angles, you can do it too and do it quite well.
