Pacific 201 has been a fan production that has been floating around for quite some time and now there is a trailer to have a look at after short films were made in the past like the Starfleet Orientation: Tactical Systems.

Like Axanar, it has been slowly getting towards the finish line but unlike Axanar you don’t really hear much about what is going on, it is like an old friend who comes around to your house from afar once every couple of years.

Noticeable is that the ship does not say USS Pacific but instead just Pacific and NCC-201 underneath.

The weapons seem to be a mix of post 2009 Star Trek and the sounds of series in the past and the ship design looks to have elements borrowed from Star Trek shows and movies throughout the years, a hybrid of ideas.

The VFX is really impressive and the acting appears to be solid, it looks like that the Pacific 201 creators have used their fan given funding wisely.

Expect a lot of comments to say that Pacific 201’s trailer is better than anything CBS has made but it is unknown whether those comment makers are sincere as they seem to say it to every fan production.

There’s enough in this trailer to wait for the full release in August 2020, we’ll see how she flies then.
